Court interpreter for the French language
Official translations of documents from and into French, prepared for a clear purpose and submitted to the competent institution.
Certified translation for the intended use of your document
French administrative and legal terminology requires a consistent distinction between the names of authorities, types of documents and degrees of education. We coordinate the translation with the country and procedure for which it is intended.

Diplomas, certificates, certificates of qualifications, experience, employment and criminal records.
Legal and business documents
Contracts, decisions, powers of attorney, registers, reports and documentation for companies.
What does certification by a sworn court interpreter include?
The sworn court interpreter certifies, with a signature, stamp and certification statement, that the translation corresponds to the submitted document. A certified translation is usually bound to the original or a copy so the recipient can compare the documents.
Not every translation requires certification. A professional translation without certification may be sufficient for internal business use, while courts, administrative authorities, educational institutions and employers may request a certified version. The receiving institution determines the final requirements.
Terminology, personal names and data format
Translation involves more than replacing words between languages. We check the names of authorities, legal terminology, qualifications, dates, numbers, stamps and annotations. Personal names are reproduced consistently, taking account of the spelling in the passport and related documents.
Apostille and additional legalisation
For certain international procedures, an apostille or other form of legalisation may be required. It depends on the issuing country, the type of document and the recipient’s request. We recommend that you check the order of certification before submitting the original for translation.
Price and deadline for translation into French
The price depends on the amount of text, complexity, language direction, certification requirements and deadline. For an accurate quote, send legible scans or photos of every page, tell us where the document will be used and whether you need a printed copy.

French translations for a specific purpose
Personal records, study and employment
French civil status documents can be full copies (copie intégrale) or extracts (extrait). Marginal annotations also need attention. Send the complete birth or marriage certificate, including any text on the reverse.
For a diploma or school certificate, include transcripts and supplements requested by the university or employer. Translating the qualification title is separate from formal recognition of a qualification.
Contracts and business documents
For contracts, powers of attorney, judgments and company records such as an extrait Kbis, we check legal entity names, registration numbers, amounts and references to attachments.
Specify whether the document will be used in France, Belgium, Switzerland or another French-speaking country. A shared language does not mean identical administrative requirements.
Will a certified translation be required in France?
The receiving institution determines its requirements. The official French portal explains how to find an authorised translator and use translated documents, including differences between arranging translation in France and abroad. Certain EU public documents accompanied by a multilingual form may not need translation, although a translation can still be requested when necessary.
Send the recipient’s instructions on certification, authentication and acceptable formats before ordering. Certification by a Croatian court interpreter does not automatically fulfil every additional requirement for every procedure abroad.
Requesting a French translation quote
Send every page and attachment, the language direction, destination country and institution, deadline and required copy numbers. This helps us agree the scope and price accurately.

Is the original required for the quote?
A legible digital copy of every page is usually sufficient. If we need to inspect the original, we will let you know before starting.
Will the translation be accepted abroad?
Requirements are determined by the institution that receives the document. Send us their instructions so that we can prepare the translation in the appropriate form.
Can the translation be urgent?
We check availability for urgent translation based on the length and type of document and the availability of a sworn court interpreter.
